The gap between finishing a job and raising the invoice is where money goes missing. A signed job sheet records what was done while everyone still agrees on it, and it is the difference between an invoice being paid and an invoice being queried three weeks later.
What it should carry
The customer, the site, the date, who attended, a clear description of the work carried out, materials used, and a signature from whoever accepted it on site.

What is the difference between a job sheet and a service report?
A job sheet records what was done on a visit. A service report is usually a fuller technical document, often with readings and recommendations. For most trade jobs a signed job sheet is enough.
